How Kinesiology Works

But how does it work?

To be honest, no one can fully define the scope of this remarkable therapy – except to say that, yes, it works. It really does.

It combines chinese meridian energy flow – the science behind the effectiveness of acupuncture - and the modern Western sciences of muscle testing, diet and stress management.

It helps all kinds of people to  reach their potential, optimise their health and relieve pain.

There is no such thing as a typical treatment.

Let me take you through one of my cases.

The client, a District Nurse and mother, had suffered almost crippling back pain since her student days. Perhaps she had lifted a patient badly.

It was wrecking her life – not to mention those of her family and her patients.

Her GP had recommended Physiotherapy – but the benefits were short-lived.

I started by muscle testing – a form of language that communicates with the body’s true needs.

  • I  applied light pressure to her outstretched right arm.
  • When her arm dropped involuntarily, I could tell that her pain had an emotional content.
  • That was to be expected.  A  back problem is structural – but if you’ve suffered one for long enough, you may well have emotional problems too.

It had become a vicious circle – but kinesiology shows, with complete precision, where the problem is and what treatment is required.

No need to take your clothes off !

With the patient lying on the couch, I tested the 14 meridians, to check whether energy was flowing freely.

Where there were blockages, I applied gentle pressure to known acupressure points.

The patient did not have to visit me again for nearly three years – during which time, she had two more babies. when she finally did visit me again, I was able to employ  another, carefully structured technique.

That’s the great thing about kinesiology. There are nearly as many solutions as there are problems.
